You can also book online and pick the day and time yourself — you get a confirmation with a QR ticket, and nothing has to be paid to hold the appointment. If the clinic is closed when you call, leave a message and reception returns it on the next consulting day.

What happens when you arrive. Reception takes your details and the ticket reference, and you wait for your token. Bring any earlier prescriptions, X-rays, CT scans and test reports, along with a list of the medicines you take now, including inhalers — the single most useful thing you can carry, because treatment usually turns on what has already been tried. A family member is welcome in the consultation room, and the clinic is on the ground floor with lift access.

Appointments are booked in 15-minute slots. Where a test is needed — spirometry, an allergy test, a sleep study or a bronchoscopy — it is explained and scheduled before you leave, usually within the same week.
